Welcome back to another week in Rosieland. And I've been busy, playing and rambling...
Community is funny. And big decisions are scary as heck.
On my audacious quest to build the best tech community ever, we put stronger community boundaries in place. We were told it was a mistake and that it didn't make sense.
By making the changes it stopped a certain type of participation without a paid membership, yet on the flip side, we are now enabling more new voices and participation at a free level than ever before.
Community design is complex. Enabling a complete free for all does not mean better, infact in the world of AI, it usually means worse.
As part of this funny-ness, I've been playing around with the idea of Rambles. I think it's exactly what I've been missing.
Here are a few more sample rambles. Basically Twitter, on Rosieland, but on Rosie's terms. It's where I can dump all the things I want to say, but for many reasons I haven't felt able to properly do it for quite some time. Others can ramble too. π
